Maola taps Storyfarm for “Farmer in the Fridge” campaign
Baltimore-based Storyfarm is behind the video and digital spots powering “Farmer in the Fridge,” the largest market-wide brand campaign in decades from Maola Local Dairies, the Herndon, Va.-based farmer-owned dairy cooperative.
Storyfarm translated the campaign’s creative vision — that Maola products are so fresh it’s as if the farm sits just behind the refrigerator door — into a series of spots to run across YouTube, Netflix, network streaming channels, Facebook, Instagram, and Instacart, with DMA and ZIP code targeting for retail alignment. The first storyline highlights Maola’s new Maola More product; additional installments from Storyfarm, “Mornings with Maola” and “Yes, Chef,” focused on the brand’s heavy whipping cream line, are still to come. The campaign will also extend to social media with content featuring Maola’s real farmers.
“Consumers are increasingly looking for brands that feel authentic, local, and connected to their everyday lives,” said Lindsay Reames, Maola’s executive vice president of membership and brand. “Farmer in the Fridge brings that idea to life in a memorable way by putting Maola farmers at the center of the story.”
Launched in June, the campaign is expected to generate more than 9 million impressions by year’s end. Agency29 of Rochester, N.Y., led creative strategy and market research, while AI Digital handles media buying and audience optimization.
