Martha M. Boudreau, EVP, Chief Communications & Marketing Officer at D.C.-based AARP, has been named one of Ad Age’s 2023 Leading Women.
On LinkedIn, Boudreau states: “I am honored to share that Ad Age has included me in its class of 2023 Leading Women. It’s wonderful to be recognized alongside such an incredible group of accomplished women, each with their own inspiring story.
“My heartfelt congratulations to everyone who was chosen. It is a testament to the work you do and the example you provide for women of all ages, whether just entering the workforce or growing their careers in the marketing industry. We have much to be proud of and, also, much work ahead to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
“I would also like to thank our amazing AARP team, who work hard every day to highlight the importance of authentically representing the powerful but too often overlooked 50-plus demographic. This honor is not just for me, but for the collective efforts we have undertaken to ensure that ageism is a key part of the DE&I conversation, and that brands and marketers live up to their full potential in connecting with older audiences.”
According to Ad Age, “Our 2023 list of Leading Women reflects a rapidly evolving marketing landscape and leadership that’s embracing emerging tech as a tool to better connect consumers and drive meaningful change. Ad Age’s Leading Women 2023 are not only reinventing their own business, brands and agencies, but putting social and environmental causes at the center of their initiatives. The global list includes an agency leader blazing a path for the LGBTQ+ community, a tech leader setting the agenda for retail media networks and a marketer championing diversity in the beauty industry. We are honored to celebrate the Ad Age Leading Women of 2023 and we hope they empower future generations of leaders to make equality and sustainability a cornerstone of business strategies.”
