Marty Kady II joins WaPo as Senior Director and General Manager of Professional Products
Martin (Marty) Kady II joins The Washington Post as Senior Director and General Manager of Professional Products. According to WaPo, “Marty’s extensive experience in creating, launching, and establishing essential business-to-business (B2B) products will open up new avenues for revenue, content, and premium offerings.”
Most recently, Kady was the founding politics editor at The Messenger. Before that, he spent nearly 16 years at POLITICO, including stints as a congressional reporter and editor before leading content strategy for POLITICO Pro, the publication’s B2B subscription model. He was the editorial director and managing editor during that time, building strong relationships with the revenue, product, and technology teams.
Kady was also a critical editor of POLITICO’s 2022 Supreme Court coverage, which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize after revealing the leaked draft opinion of Roe v. Wade.
