Maryland agency updates from PROFILES, C-360 Agency and Smart Connections PR; David Carberry releases “Stop Networking, Start Needworking”

Baltimore’s PROFILES is the PR firm is behind the recent wave of publicity promoting Pittsburgh-based sandwich business Primanti Bros. Restaurant and Bar’s expansion in Maryland. Known for heaping colesaw and french fries directly onto its sandwiches, Primanti Bros. will open its Maryland location this spring in Anne Arundel County’s Linthicum Heights. Founded in Pittsburgh in 1933, Primanti Bros. has more than 40 locations, primarily in Pennsylvania but also in Ohio and West Virginia. Amy Burke Friedman is owner/CEO of PROFILES.

Keswick, a not-for-profit nursing home and aging services provider serving Baltimore for 140 years, has selected the C-360 Agency as its agency of record for brand strategy, creative services, social media strategy and engagement, content development, public relations, fundraising, and advertising services.

The announcement comes as Keswick, delivering on its mission to improve the experience of aging, prepares for a period of continued growth and service to the community with a $65 million renovation of its Baltimore City campus. The agency’s work will include acknowledging the significant impact of the Keswick Foundation, the largest foundation in Maryland dedicated to aging, which continues to support the organization’s work on campus and beyond.

David Carberry, entrepreneur and founder of Needworking.com, has published the book “Stop Networking, Start Needworking: The Intersection of Maslow’s Needs and Networking.” Carberry applies his business development experience to present a new approach to networking based on human needs psychology.

The book comes as Carberry aims to grow his Needworking platform for connecting professionals. “Stop Networking, Start Needworking” examines relationship-building and encourages purposeful connections in the digital age. The book encourages readers to move beyond collecting superficial online connections and focus on creating meaningful, purpose-driven relationships.

Originally from Baltimore, Carberry is an accomplished entrepreneur with a passion for leveraging technology to facilitate meaningful connections. With a rich background that includes roles at CBS, Time Warner, and Advertising.com, Carberry founded Needworking.com to revolutionize the way professionals connect with business opportunities.

Smart Connections PR, a global PR agency based in Rising Sun, Md. has appointed veteran Mark Edwards as account director. Edwards brings expertise in media relations, story development and executive media training. Agency co-founder Joanne Hogue said Edwards’ experience boosts Smart Connections’ services. Before entering PR, Edwards had a 20-year career as a TV sports journalist, earning 10 “Best Sportscaster” awards from The Associated Press. Smart Connections PR, headed by partners Joanne Hogue and Dina Petrosky, has been providing targeted, strategic, and cost-effective public relations services since 2012.
