Imre announced the appointment of two senior creative leaders: Tracy Zuto was named Executive Vice President, Executive Creative Director across healthcare and consumer portfolios; and Malia Baker joins as Senior Vice President, Group Creative Director, Art.

With 30 years of experience, Zuto brings extensive launch and prelaunch experience with US and global brands. She has led teams to assist physicians, patients, and caregivers in overcoming real struggles in categories including women’s health, rare diseases, oncology. Zuto’s healthcare experience includes engagements with AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Sanofi, and many others.

For nearly 15 years, Baker has led creative teams and specialized in high-caliber creative, launch excellence, and digital-first design innovation, pushing creative boundaries. Her previous experience includes leading creative for brands including Pfizer, Novartis, Merck, Eli Lilly, and Genentech. Her launch experience spans HCP and DTC audiences, including major TV campaigns, across oncology, depression, migraine, and women’s health.

Lara Sassounian

Sage Growth Partners in Baltimore announced the hiring of Lara Sassounian, as Manager, PR and Media Relations. Most recently, she served as the CEO of Artfully Curated, a fine arts PR agency she founded in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area. Prior to founding her agency, Lara previously worked as a marketing consultant for Sage while pursuing her MBA degree. She has also worked as an MBA level teaching assistant at Johns Hopkins University.

The second annual iMPACT MARYLAND event will take place on October 1 at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall Theatre in Baltimore.

Maryland Public Television (MPT) announced the promotion of Terri Carpenter to the position of managing director, Corporate Support, at the statewide public TV network. Carpenter supervises two account executives and a sales assistant as the leader of the department tasked with cultivating and securing financial sponsorships to support MPT programs and initiatives.

Carpenter has been an employee of the MPT Foundation – MPT’s 501(c)(3) fundraising affiliate – since 2018 when she joined the Corporate Support team as a sales assistant. She was promoted to account specialist in 2019 and received another promotion to sales executive in 2021.

Prior to arriving at MPT, Carpenter served as the director of membership at the Howard County Chamber of Commerce where she was responsible for business development, retention, and sponsorship. She also served for several years as a senior account executive at ABC affiliate WJRT-TV in Flint, Michigan, before moving to Maryland in 2014.

MPT will celebrate historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in September during its fifth annual HBCU Week, a slate of programs sharing informative and inspiring stories about HBCUs and the people who attend, graduate, administrate, and advocate for these important institutions of higher learning.

During the week of September 2-8, MPT will offer nearly 30 hours of content – including 13 MPT premieres – across TV, social media, and online platforms exploring the past, present, and future of HBCUs in the statewide public TV network’s viewing area and throughout the United States.

BlaineTurner Advertising, a marketing and public relations agency based in Morgantown, West Virginia, announced that it, along with its clients Maryland Physicians Care and WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital, were awarded AN Award of Excellence at the 30th Annual Communicator Awards.

The Communicator Awards, the largest and most competitive awards program recognizing creative excellence in communications, received more than 3,000 entries from around the globe this year.  Winners included Disney, The White House Historical Association, Mastercard, AARP, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and PepsiCo, among other notable organizations.
