Independent digital marketing agency R2i hired Andréa Waite as VP of Media Services. Over the course of her career, Waite has worked with some of the largest media agencies, holding managerial and/or leadership positions with MindShare, Carat and Starcom MediaVest. While at Starcom MediaVest, she served as Senior Vice President and Group Director where she led teams managing P&G North America and P&G China. She led strategic planning for over 20 brands across five categories in her last agency role. Most recently, Waite was with Verizon Media (formerly AOL & Yahoo) leading the multi-million Dentsu Aegis Network global agency business. In that role, she was responsible for the strategic and commercial partnerships, including all C-suite/executive relationships.

R2i also announced the hire of two business development vice presidents: Aaron Horowitz, who is focusing on the Great Lakes Midwest region and Justin Turner, who oversees business development in the Central U.S. and Rockies. Both Horowitz and Turner bring strong track records of success in the digital marketing space to their new roles and are committed to ensuring that clients receive maximum value from their partnerships with R2i.

Prior to joining the R2i team, Horowitz successfully led client development and growth for a number of award-winning agencies, including 50,000feet, Acquity Group (now Accenture), iCrossing, imc2 and Razorfish. In past leadership positions, he worked with many well-known brands, including BCBS NC, Chicago Board of Trade, Coca-Cola, Discover Financial, FedEx, Global Hyatt, Highmark, NYSE, Procter & Gamble, Sears, United Airlines, USG and Voya. He holds a BA in communications from Columbia.

Turner also has extensive industry experience, joining R2i after successfully leading business development at Epsilon. Before that, he held key positions with Alterian and Yes Marketing, gaining valuable martech/adtech experience in these roles and focusing on cross-channel platforms and services. Turner’s client engagements include major brands like Albertsons/Safeway, GNC, Kellogg, Party City, Patagonia and Verizon. He holds a BS from St. Ambrose University and an MS from Illinois State.

MGH, a full-service marketing communications agency, added three employees to its interactive, media and account management teams:  Jessica Gardner, Associate Digital Analyst; Sarah Marty, Account Coordinator; and Shannon O’Connor, Media Assistant, who joins from Under Armour where she was a customer service representative.

Compass Government Relations Partners in Annapolis is adding communications and public relations capabilities. The firm is bringing on Brian Doory, a veteran communications and public affairs consultant, as a partner, according to a report on the news site Maryland Matters. For the past year, Doory has run his own consulting firm, and prior to that, he was the campaign manager for Democratic gubernatorial contender James L. Shea. During the 2018 general election, he was a senior adviser to the Maryland State Education Association. “Brian has worked across the country and in Maryland on some of the most high-profile issues and campaigns over the last two decades and he is one of the most skilled and versatile strategists in Maryland,” said Hannah Powers Garagiola, Compass president and founder.

Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. has brought on an executive with sports marketing experience as the company inches closer to completing its purchase of 21 Fox regional sports networks. Cathy Jamison joins the Hunt Valley-based broadcaster as vice president of sales marketing of its television group. In this role, she will report to Chief Revenue Officer Rob Weisbord and be responsible for driving revenue growth from advertising on Sinclair’s TV channels and digital brands.

Clapp Communications announced the SEED School of Maryland as its newest client.
