Trembling Giant Marketing LLC and MBD Maryland announced that the two businesses have merged into one full service public relations and marketing consulting agency based in Sykesville. Trembling Giant, headed by Rich Austin, is a branding, marketing services and public relations agency. MBD Maryland, owned by Amy Giannakoulias, currently produces business–to-consumer direct mail advertising directories for Frederick, Carroll and Howard counties.

Gaithersburg-based podcasting company Podcast Village, a Capitol Communicator sponsor, completed a series of podcasts for the Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship (MCE). Each episode of Unique Assets features an in-depth interview by Charlie Birney with a founder of a start-up based in Howard County at the MCE along with insights from experts counseling the firms, including MCE’s Peter Ettinger.

Baltimore’s MGH will handle media planning and buying for Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) for its 2016-2017 enrollment campaign, which kicks off this fall. MGH will develop a media strategy to drive enrollment for all of NOVA’s six campuses in Virginia. A campaign for the institution will include print, radio and outdoor advertising elements. NOVA is the largest public educational institution in Virginia and the second-largest community college in the United States, with more than 75,000 students.
