Smart Connections PR, LLC, a global business-to-business communications agency headquartered in Rising Sun, Md, with offices in Connecticut, has joined the GlobalCom PR Network, a worldwide group of full service PR and marketing communications agencies equipped to address the PR needs of clients across Europe and EMEA. Media Works, Ltd., a Baltimore-based integrated marketing agency, has received the Premier Google Partner Badge recognizing agencies that have advanced AdWords experience. Criteria for this top-level certification includes having at least two affiliated individuals who are certified in AdWords, and meeting a higher spend requirement to show a healthy amount of activity. The Premier Google Partner requires a high performance record through maintaining and growing a customer base by delivering solid overall AdWords revenue and growth. “Having a truly integrated agency can be challenging in this fragmented digital age. The Enoch Pratt Free Library announced that Meghan McCorkell, previously a general assignment reporter for the CBS Baltimore WJZ news team, has been named Communications Director. McCorkell is an award-winning journalist honored with an Emmy and recognized by twice by the Associated Press for excellence in reporting. During her six years in Baltimore, she has become a part of the community and is involved in several philanthropic causes. For two years, she has been an active member of the Pratt Contemporaries. “I’ve had the privilege of telling Baltimore’s stories over the past several years,” says McCorkell. “Now, I’m honored to get a chance to tell the stories of such a vital institution as the Enoch Pratt Free Library.” Gordon Krabbe, acting chief executive officer, said, “We are delighted that Miss McCorkell has joined the Library in this important role.”

Warschawski, a full service branding, marketing, public relations, advertising, and digital agency, announced the addition of Ben Plum to the agency as Director of Design Development. In his new role, he will oversee all development, including web and ecommerce, app development, digital design and database management for the agency’s clients. Prior to joining Warschawski, he was a Senior Developer at Blue Ocean Ideas where he oversaw the development of large ecommerce platforms, including creating custom financial system integration. Previously, he held the position of Director of Development at Fastspot.

Also at Warschawski, the agency announced it has expanded its digital marketing and data analytics expertise, with five team members obtaining Google Analytics certifications. According to a release, “this recognition reinforces the agency’s status as an industry leader, capable of delivering a comprehensive suite of cutting-edge, customized analytics and digital marketing solutions to its clients.” Services offered by the agency include: web analytics & tag management, digital marketing, attribution modeling, conversion rate optimization, data analytics, social media & content strategy. Warschawski’s team of Analytics & Digital Marketing professionals includes five Google Analytics Certified Professionals, along with individuals certified in Google AdWords, Bing Ads, Twitter, HubSpot & Digital/Social Media Advertising.
