Media executive Victor Shiblie joins Qorvis
Qorvis announced that veteran media executive and international business strategist Victor Shiblie joined the firm as Senior Advisor. According to a release, he brings more than three decades of experience spanning media, international affairs, global business and diplomatic engagement.
For more than 25 years, Shiblie served as President and Publisher of The Washington Diplomat, one of the capital’s leading publications serving the diplomatic community.
The release states that under Shiblie’s leadership, “The Washington Diplomat built relationships across more than 180 foreign embassies, U.S. government institutions, multinational corporations, and international organizations. He also produced high-level policy forums, international conferences, and economic-development programs bringing together ambassadors, senior government officials, corporate executives, and international leaders.”
“Victor understands the power of media, relationships and communications in international affairs because he has spent more than 30 years working at their intersection,” said Matt Lauer, Chief Executive Officer of Qorvis.
At Qorvis, states the firm, Shiblie will advise clients on strategic communications, international business development, market access, and engagement with diplomatic, government, media, and business stakeholders, while helping expand the firm’s international network and global business opportunities.
