New Study Finds The Washington Post is the Dominant Digital News Source for Opinion Leaders Inside the Beltway
The Washington Post is the top news source for national opinion leaders in the executive and legislative branches of government, according to the 2020 Erdos & Morgan Opinion Leaders Study. The study, states The Post also found that “The Post’s digital reach leads nationally among opinion leaders across key policy areas including business and industry, technology and cybersecurity, economic and fiscal policy, environmental and energy and defense and national security.
“These results reflect that in 2020 The Post produced in-depth, essential reporting on the life-and-death issues surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, fielded the largest campaign team in its history to cover a historic presidential election along with providing some of the best and most ideologically mixed commentary on the race and the ongoing challenges to our democratic process, and continued its newsroom growth by adding 26 staffers in June to its annual hiring plans.
