News from Vitamin, PROFILES and Maryland Environmental Service

Vitamin in Baltimore has been selected by WesBanco, a diversified, multi-state bank holding company, as the institution’s newest digital marketing partner. Vitamin will provide ongoing support for content generation, CRM integration, ADA compliance, and a range of digital-first marketing initiatives for WesBanco’s affiliate, WesBanco Bank, Inc.

According to a release, the partnership began during the fourth quarter of 2019 with the design, development, and implementation of a new website that debuted in January 2020. Vitamin will guide WesBanco’s communications as the 150-year-old financial services company enters the mid-Atlantic region following its merger with Old Line Bancshares, Inc., a bank holding company headquartered in Bowie. Eric Giesecke is Chief Marketing Officer for WesBanco. Vitamin is headed by President and CEO Amanda Karfakis.

PROFILES, the Baltimore-based full-service public relations, marketing and communications firm, announced the promotions of Alex Silverman to account manager and Grace Clark to account executive.

Silverman oversees a portfolio of clients that includes the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore, Art of Balance Wellness Spa located at the Ritz Carlton Residences, the Y in Central Maryland, Baltimore Homecoming and Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women. Prior to joining PROFILES, Silverman spent seven years working for the Parks & People Foundation. As an account executive, Clark develops and implements public relations campaigns for clients including Kennedy Krieger Institute, Hotel Revival, The Hotel at the University of Maryland, Pet Valu and Pet Supermarket.

Maryland Environmental Service announced that Daniel D. Faoro was appointed Managing Director, Communications. Faoro joins from the National Electrical Contractors Association where he was Executive Director of Marketing and Communications. He held positions including in the George W. Bush White House as Director of Communications, Office of Management and Administration; as Director of Passenger Development Services at the Maryland Aviation Administration; Vice President of Membership and Business Development at the Aerospace Industries Association; Vice President of Development and Special Assistant to the President at Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association; and Vice President of Communications, Marketing and Production at the National Association of Chain Drug Stores.
