NewsChannel 8 Becomes WJLA24/7 News

NewsChannel 8 is changing its name to WJLA 24/7 News.

According to a release, the renamed news outlet “will feature a highly graphical, richly informative continuous newsfeed” including news headlines, weather forecasts and traffic reports.

“The new WJLA 24/7 News is uniquely positioned in the community to offer news customized to where you live, be it Maryland, Virginia or the District,” WJLA Station Manager Mitch Jacob stated in a press release. “Our aim is to report local news our viewers want, when they want it, from the team they’ve come to trust.”
