Nominations open for WWPR’s Emerging Leaders Awards
Each year, the WWPR Emerging Leaders Awards ceremony recognizes outstanding young women in public relations who are making a significant impact early in their careers. This year, the organization celebrate 15 years of the Emerging Leaders Awards. If you know of someone going above and beyond in their career (ages 25-35), nominate that individual for the coveted ELA award in their field. Categories include:
- Boutique Agency
- Mid-Size Agency
- Large/Global Agency
- Government
- Corporate
- Trade Association
- Non-Profit
Nominations are open until May 9.
Then, come celebrate 15 years of Emerging Leaders on June 11, 6-9 pm, at the Wharf in D.C. Enjoy scenic views, networking, houer d’oeuvres and drinks from a beautiful rooftop at one of D.C.’s hottest locations, Tickets: $45 for members early bird | $65 for non-members early bird. Register by April 30 to get your early bird ticket.
According to WWPR, the Emerging Leaders Awards were created in 2010 as a special accolade for young women active within the communications field that were making a significant impact on the industry but were not being recognized due to age or years of experience. The Emerging Leaders Awards ceremony is an opportunity to hear from these up-and-coming leaders that will inspire and educate, and celebrate the value of public relations. The honorees will be promoted in WWPR materials and on the website. Honorees will be named at the awards ceremony based on their contributions as well as their potential to contribute to the industry for many years to come, making them truly emerging leaders.
