New Ocean City, MD, marketing campaign to focus on mix of media streams new to the resort

Ocean City Issues RFP for Advertising Services

by | Sep 21, 2021

Ocean City, Maryland, is seeking proposals for “Advertising Services.”

For the past 20 years, the town has contracted with Owings Mills-based MGH and CEO Andy Malis to handle television, digital, radio, print and billboard advertising campaigns.

The RFP just released is not any reflection on the town’s satisfaction with MGH, officials said, rather, it’s designed to open the bid process and see what’s in the marketplace.

According to Procurement Manager Catrice Parsons, proposal documents may be obtained from the town’s  Procurement Department by either e-mailing Parsons, at [email protected] or by calling 410-723-6647 during normal business hours, or via the Proposal tab on the Town’s website.

In addition, vendors are responsible for checking for addenda prior to submitting their proposals. The town is not responsible for the content of any  proposal document received through any third-party service. It is the sole responsibility of the  vendor to ensure the completeness and accuracy of their completed proposal documents.

A pre-proposal meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 11:00 am via either the  purchasing conference room or on Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/5344511813?pwd=NzM1Rkp2UFdFRVZoZi9QVXErKzdOdz09.

The  last day for questions is noon on Monday, October 18, 2021. An addendum will be posted by  close of business on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.

Sealed bid documents are due no later than Monday, October 25, 2021, by 4:00 pm and will be  sent to Mayor & City Council Ocean City, 301 N. Baltimore Avenue, Ocean City, MD 21842, Attn:  City Manager; Room 230. Completed documents will be read into record then remanded to staff for further review at the Mayor & City Council work session held on Tuesday, October 26,  2021, at 1:00 pm located at 301 N. Baltimore Avenue, Ocean City, MD 21842 in Council  Chambers.
