Mighty Citizen, based in Austin, Texas, hired Nicole Araujo, CAE, to lead its new D.C. area office.  According to a release, Araujo was hired with a mission to grow the agency’s roster of association clients that currently includes the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Texas Society of Association Executives and Texas Restaurant Association.  Araujo brings more than 20 years of experience with industry leaders including Naylor Association Solutions and BrightKey, Inc. She became a Certified Association Executive in January 2019.
Stratacomm was awarded an advertising, marketing and media support contract to help create and run public education campaigns with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). With a ceiling amount of nearly $217 million to include media buys, the duration of the contract is up to five years.Team leader Stratacomm, is joined by subcontractors Tombras and Culture ONE World in the successful pursuit of this competitive bid. All three agencies offer extensive experience supporting NHTSA previously.
Subject Matter announced that Sarah Kennedy Hillmann is rejoining the firm as creative director.  Hillman rejoins Subject Matter after a yearlong stint with global public relations firm Weber Shandwick, where she held the title of senior copywriter. In this position, she served as creative lead for two of the firm’s clients, working in both the government and consumer brand spaces, while also supporting a handful of other accounts, concepting, writing and producing traditional and interactive work.  Prior to Weber Shandwick, Hillmann was a senior copywriter at Subject Matter, where she helped launch integrated campaigns for several of the firm’s top clients, ranging from large consumer brands to national trade associations and local non-profits.
