Kate Glantz is joining Lyft’s D.C. office as City Marketing Lead.  According to a media report, “She was brought on for her marketing skills, proven entrepreneurial spirit and strong roots in and knowledge of the D.C. area, according to reps from the ridesharing company.”  Previously,  the report stated, “she spent several years with the Peace Corps and the U.S. Department of State, Glantz burst onto the scene of socially-conscious entrepreneurship a couple of years ago. In 2015 she founded the startup Heartful.ly, an online wedding registry for charitable gifts. Earlier this year she decided to step back from her startup and become the director of entrepreneur activities with impact incubator SEED SPOT.”

The Reis Group in D.C. announced that Beth Casteel has been hired as senior counselor. She brings a dozen years of experience with professional associations working at the American College of Cardiology and American Psychiatric Association, and nearly two decades in journalism, mostly with the Associated Press.  In addition, Stephanie Wight and Kathleen Petty have been promoted to senior account executive.

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants added Brice O’Keeffe as director of sales and marketing at Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington DC. O’Keeffe brings a strong luxury and resort background, as well as more than 20 years of hospitality experience, to Hotel Monaco’s senior management team.  In his new role, he will spearhead all sales and marketing activities, leading the hotel’s sales team with an emphasis on his specialty, the association market. O’Keeffe will guide strategic planning for all sales segments and additionally drive critical revenue, digital marketing, advertising and public relations efforts for the hotel.
