Stacie Paxton Cobos, pictured above, joins IFAW as Vice President of Brand Marketing and Communications where her role includes management of the newly relaunched IFAW brand, external communications, global marketing, online fundraising and multilingual content and digital properties. She previously served as Senior Vice President for Communications and Marketing at The Climate Reality Project , a nonprofit founded by former Vice President Al Gore. There she oversaw all communications, creative content, marketing, and online fundraising and led Climate Reality’s signature event, 24 Hours of Reality, an Emmy-nominated 24-hour live global broadcast. Before joining Climate Reality, she was a Senior Vice President at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, where she managed multifaceted communications campaigns across a range of industries.
Abt Associates announced that Jane Walter has been named senior director, Marketing and Communications. She will be responsible for strategic communications, brand management and marketing, editorial support, media relations, creative services, digital communications and conferences and events. Prior to joining Abt, Walter was the global marketing communications director for Lockheed Martin Corporation, leading the strategic direction for all marketing activities, including advertising, web presence, social media, major tradeshows, protocol and events. She also served as chair of the corporation’s Marketing Council. Walter went to Lockheed Martin from ExxonMobil and, before that, had served as the Marketing/Research director at USA Today, where she was responsible for marketing all brands, including USA Today, USA Today International, USA Today.com, Baseball Weekly and Sky Radio.
Sam Mertins joined FINN Detroit. She comes to FINN from FleishmanHillard where she worked in their offices in Detroit, London and D.C. – where she spent about three years as vice president and managing supervisor.
