Public relations firm Padilla – with headquarters in Minneapolis and offices in New York, Chicago, Richmond, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco – has been acquired by Avenir Global, a Montreal-based holding and management company of public relations and communication firms, reports the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Padilla now has 210 employees and an annual revenue is $40 million.

According t the Richmond Times-Dispatch report, Padilla was created in 2013 when Padilla Speer Beardsley acquired Richmond-based CRT/tanaka, naming the merged firm PadillaCRT and eventually dropping the CRT name. The roots to the Richmond operations stem from local employees of Earle Palmer Brown public relations buying the office in 1996 creating Carter Ryley Thomas.
