Parade magazine, which appears in more than 600 newspapers around the nation including The Washington Post and The Baltimore Sun, will end the print version of the supplement with the Nov. 6 edition.
The Arena Group, which acquired Parade earlier this year, will continue to make a digital version of the section available in e-Edition formats.
Arena insisted that the end of the print version of Parade did not mean the company was not committed to the well-known brand, and that it was launching digital niche offerings such as Parade Pets, states one report.
“We are infusing fresh energy across our brands in all formats to make sure they can meet both the moment and the needs of their readers in new and innovative ways,” Kevin Craig, Arena’s senior vice president for newspaper relations, said in an email to newspapers.
According to Wikipedia, Parade was founded in 1941. In 2022, it was purchased by The Arena Group, who also operates Sports Illustrated, TheStreet and numerous other brands. The most widely read magazine in the U.S., Parade has a circulation of 32 million and a readership of 54.1 million. Parade.com has seen its audience grow 584% since 2018, with 44 of the past 48 months posting increases from a year earlier, said a story in one of Arena’s outlets.
