Paul Jaxon has been named morning host at “Big 100” WBIG radio in Washington, D.C. Jaxon, states Inside Radio, hosted afternoons on WMMR in Philadelphia for nearly 20 years before exiting amongst company-wide cuts in October 2022. At “Big 100,” he succeeds Don Geronimo, who was dismissed after making sexist remarks directed toward Sharla McBride, a local TV station sports anchor.
“I’ve been a Jaxon fan for years, so I’m thrilled to welcome him to the iHeartMedia D.C. team!” Director of Rock Programming Dustin Matthews stated in a release. “And as an avid football fan, he’s the perfect match to join forces with the Washington Commanders. Jaxon brings a unique ability to engage our audience with storytelling and expert analysis about music and sports. I can’t wait for him to rock the Nation’s Capital with us every morning on the mighty Big 100!”
