PCI, a rapidly growing integrated marketing agency, has ventured into the world of virtual reality (VR), teaming up with production house Clean Cuts & Cerebral Lounge to offer viewers a chance to experience PCI’s new offices in Old Town Alexandria, Va, virtually, as you will see above.

The video, narrated by PCI’s Director of Corporate Visibility Frances Reimers, guides viewers through the entire PCI experience, department by department, highlighting the agency’s capabilities and culture.

“We’re always looking for new ways to move audiences to action,” said President & CEO Robert W. Sprague. “We were looking for an application to try this new technology, and we thought it was perfect to give our clients and friends a tour of our new offices.”

Using a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet, users can put themselves in the center of the action by moving their screen in 360 degrees (left, right, up, or down). Laptop and desktop users simply use a mouse to click and drag around the video. Adding an inexpensive VR viewer such as Google Cardboard or Gear VR head-mounted display gives users an even more immersive VR experience.

“More and more of our clients are expressing interest in virtual reality and 360 degree video — so we decided to be our own guinea pig,” said Mike Kim, Director of Production at PCI and the Creative Director of the video. “The result is a piece that is entertaining, full of personality, and demonstrates real possibilities to our clients.”
