Penn State honors T.J. Brightman; Baltimore County launches destination campaign; Incite lands AROS; Sage adds Michelle McNickle

Incite Creative in Baltimore has been engaged by AROS Consulting, LLC, an accounting firm serving the Baltimore/DC region. “We are thrilled to be working with AROS Consulting,” Dina Wasmer, president of Incite Creative said in a prepared statement. Incite Creative will provide fractional CMO services to help AROS attract new opportunities, specifically emphasizing the nonprofit and faith-based sectors. “Their commitment to nonprofit organizations aligns perfectly with our mission to help local purpose-driven businesses grow and thrive. And given our extensive experience working with financial services firms, it’s a perfect fit.” Andrea McCants, CPA is president of AROS.

Baltimore County unveiled Discover Baltimore County, a new branding and marketing initiative that aims to attract visitors and further establish the county as an unexpected destination for travelers. The campaign was created with brand transformation agency Marriner Marketing. Discover Baltimore County is focused on highlighting the County’s diverse assets and encouraging visitors to explore everything Baltimore County has to offer. “Located in the heart of Maryland, Baltimore County offers something for everyone, including miles of beautiful waterfront, rolling hills, vast swaths of farmland, and hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails,” said Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski. “Anytime is a great time to visit Baltimore County and explore our diverse communities, thriving dining scene, and wealth of activities — enjoying new experiences and creating lasting memories.”

The Ad/PR Alumni Network Board at Penn State’s Bellisario College recognized several alumni for their outstanding career accomplishments in advertising and public relations. T.J. Brightman, senior vice president and chief revenue officer for the Baltimore Orioles, received the Lifetime Achievement Award. A 1991 Penn State graduate, Brightman has over 30 years of experience in sports marketing, including tenures with Major League Baseball, the NFL, radio, and television companies. With the Orioles, he oversees revenue generation, ticket sales, corporate partnerships, digital media, and attracting major events to drive economic impact in Baltimore.

Before rejoining the Orioles (he originally served as a vice president sales and sponsorship from 2003 to 2005), Brightman was president of A. Bright Idea Advertising and PR. The awards celebrate the impressive careers and contributions of Penn State’s advertising and public relations graduates.

Sage Growth Partners, a Baltimore-based healthcare research, strategy, and marketing firm, announce the hiring of Michelle McNickle as an Account Group Director and Writer. In this role she will be responsible for leading key client accounts and helping to assist with the development of thought leadership strategies and content development. Prior to joining Sage, she was a senior content and marketing manager for Bright.md and before that was a senior digital marketing specialist for Deltek.
