Qorvis announced the appointment of Aliya Manjee , former Counsel for the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Oversight, as a Director in its Washington, D.C., headquarters of operations. Manjee, a lawyer by trade, will lead campaigns for sovereign and corporate clients in the space where government relations, management consulting, and communications converge. During her time as Counsel for the House Committee on Ways and Means Subcommittee on Oversight, Manjee conducted oversight on a wide range of issues, including fair tax administration and enforcement, the implementation of COVID-19 relief legislation, and Internal Revenue Service operations. She also worked on the Committee’s investigation and related litigation into presidential tax returns and the mandatory audit program. Previously, she worked in Wisconsin and brings experience from the Milwaukee Mayor’s office, Milwaukee County Corporation Counsel, and the State Legislature.

Columbia-based BigBear.ai, a developer of AI decision intelligence tools, has named Shane Karp as its vice president of marketing and communications. Karp most recently served as the head of U.S. marketing at Improbable Defense, and previously has worked at Booz Allen Hamilton, U.S. Army Recruiting and Weber Shandwick.

 

 

Josh Rehrer  has taken a new position with Paro.ai as Director of Sales, White Label. Josh recently was the former head of sales operations, enablement and marketing for Business Wire.

 

 

Ariel Dietz has accepted a position as VP, Ad Tech Enterprise Sales at Tremor International, an end-to-end, video-first advertising technology platform. Prior to this appointment, Ariels served as Senior Sales Specialist, STV and Devices, Amazon Ads, Amazon. Ariel also served as president for the American Advertising Federation, Baltimore

 

 

 Arlington County Sheriff José Quiroz appointed Amy Meehan as the new Public Information Officer (PIO) for the County Sheriff’s Office. Meehan’s background in communications spans more than 20 years at various public relations agencies, nonprofits, tech startups and more. Her experience also includes strategic planning, media relations, conference and event planning and community outreach.
