Susan Cato was named chief communications and marketing officer for the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), where she will lead the development, oversight, and implementation of a comprehensive communications and marketing program to support the AAMC’s strategic priorities, brand recognition, policy priorities, reputation, crisis communications, digital experience, and marketing campaigns. Cato joined the AAMC as senior director of digital communications in January 2020.

Mathers, formerly Chief Marketing Officer for the company, will now be responsible for oversight of the entire customer purchase experience to align sales and marketing efforts and help accelerate growth for the business.
