Lindsay Watts, above, a reporter at FOX 5 DC, states on Twitter that she is leaving WTTG. On Twitter, she posted: “Such a tough thing to say. I’ve spent almost half my news career here & worked w/ some phenomenal people. I appreciate the opportunity to stay, but decided it’s time for a change. I love this area & plan to stick around.!”  Watts had been with WTTG for more than six years.

The Levinson Group, a strategic communications and issues management firm based in NYC, added Abbie McDonough as a Senior Managing Director based in the firm’s D.C. office. McDonough joins from the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, where she served as communications director for then-Attorney General Karl Racine. McDonough also served as communications director for former U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND), national press secretary for former U.S. Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV), and communications director for former Congressman Paul Kanjorski (D-PA). As a senior adviser to these elected officials, her valued counsel was critical to executing strategic communications plans at the national and local levels, and shaping narratives on important issues like energy independence, health care access, and financial services regulation. Prior to joining TLG, McDonough served as communications director for former D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine, leading strategic communications around high-profile litigation and policy platforms. Prior to that, she worked for another issues management firm, crafting and implementing communications tactics to guide businesses, trade associations, and nonprofits through decisive moments.

Bryson Gillette added Elsa Alvarado as Director of Public Affairs. Bryson Gillette is an LA-based minority-owned, diverse consulting firm focused on strategic communications, campaigns and public affairs. Most recently, Alvarado served in the Biden Administration as Director of Strategic Communications in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Legislative Affairs. In this role, she received the Office of the Secretary of Defense Award for Outstanding Achievement for her work in preparing the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense for their congressional engagements.
