Yamiche Alcindor, above, says her time moderating PBS’s “Washington Week” is coming to an end. The Hill.reports that the anchor and reporter, who recently took a gig at NBC News as a Washington correspondent, said “after deep thought and some meaningful conversations,” she had decided to step away from the moderator role on the longtime PBS staple. “This move will allow me to focus full time on my commitments to NBC News & to finish my upcoming memoir,” Alcindor wrote on Twitter, noting her last day moderating the panel discussion show would be Feb. 24.
Ann Marie Cumming, the NAB’s senior vice president of communications, is leaving the trade association after more than 20 years. TVNewsCheck that as senior vice president of communications, Cumming supported the department’s outreach and public policy advocacy to the national news media and trade press. She also managed media-related activities and services for NAB’s conventions and events. In addition, she spearheaded the NAB Research department and NAB Public Service, a division that promotes the public service commitment of broadcasters to key stakeholders. She is moving across town to be executive director of the Congressional Club Museum and Foundation.
Kailey Leinz, the anchor of the morning show Bloomberg Surveillance: Early Edition, the weekly afternoon show Bloomberg Crypto, and Bloomberg Green, is relocating from New York to Washington, D.C, reports TVNewser. Based in the nation’s capital, Leinz will continue to co-host Bloomberg Crypto alongside Matt Miller. Bloomberg Crypto covers the people, transactions, and technology shaping the world of decentralized finance. She will also report on regulation, policy and its intersection with the financial markets.
