Sean Murphy, former EVP of ecommerce for CustomInk, one of the most successful and most well known tshirt merchandising companies in the D.C.-area, former VP of ECommerce at Target and a former keynote speaker at Capitol Communicator’s Mid-Atlantic Marketing Summit recently departed his corporate job to address the problems associated with hybrid work.
As he noted, “Hybrid work is here to stay, but it has a critical flaw. I sensed this flaw as a leader of hundreds. I heard it from my co-workers and my team. And now I’ve confirmed it over and over again in dozens of interviews with executives and employees across a wide range of companies and industries. The flaw is that hybrid work doesn’t build both types of relationships that a healthy organization requires. Today’s general purpose remote work tech only builds one of them.”
With the forthcoming launch of Sean Murphy’s new company HyThere his aim is to build the other. This will be a company to watch given the explosive move to hybrid work.
