Peter Abrahams, market president and publisher of the Washington Business Journal since November 2018, will leave Aug. 3 to pursue “a new opportunity,” reports WBJ.
WBJ adds that Abrahams said “he can’t give more specifics yet of the new move, but he added that it will take him back and forth from D.C. to Baltimore starting later this year.”
“It has been an incredible privilege to be part of the WBJ family for the last two years,” Abrahams said. “I am excited for what lies ahead, but will miss being part of the finest news organization in our city.”
A search for his successor is underway by the American City Business Journals, the parent company for the WBJ.
ACBJ, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, is the nation’s largest publisher of local business news and data, serving 44 cities with print and digital publications. It is owned by Advance Publications of New York, with titles including The New Yorker, Vogue, Architectural Digest and others.
