Photographer Cade Martin reflects on campaign for Wounded Warrior Project

“Photographing for the Wounded Warrior Project in Tampa was an honor—quiet strength, dignity, and connection all in one frame,” said award-winning photographer Cade Martin.

According to Cade Martin, the Wounded Warrior Project is doing “vital work—offering a path for veterans and their communities to recognize and seek support for the mental health challenges tied to their service.

“Our goal was to help bring that message forward with care and urgency. This campaign was a collaborative effort, combining stills and motion to reach as many veterans and families as possible. Working seamlessly alongside video teams is essential in today’s production landscape—finding ways for both mediums to serve the story.

“Spending time on location with these veterans and the creative team was a powerful reminder of the responsibility we carry as storytellers. Every frame needed to feel honest—rooted in lived experience, not performance. The atmosphere we created together prioritized respect, trust, and the emotional space needed to capture something real.”
