Dan Higgins has been named director of social and content marketing at PlowShare Group, one of the largest producers of public service advertising in the United States. He joined the team from Arnold Worldwide to oversee the agency’s development of social content systems for government and non-profit clients.
He has experience providing an entire spectrum of digital marketing services to former clients such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Truth Initiative, Progressive, Fidelity Investments, Santander Bank, Huntington Bank, Tyson Foods, Avocados From Mexico, Sanofi, Rhone Valley Wine and University of Phoenix. His contributions have helped his teams win many awards including four Effie Awards and eight Clio Healthcare Awards for digital and integrated campaigns.
Higgins is a former board member for the Boston chapter of the American Marketing Association and has been a guest speaker in the college classroom where he helped mentor upcoming marketing talent.
In 2010, he graduated from Emerson College with a M.A. in Global Marketing Communication & Advertising. Later that year he deployed to Afghanistan as a U.S. Army Reserve Captain and Executive Officer for an Army medical unit. He was awarded both the Army Commendation Medal and Bronze Star Medal for his service.
