PR Summit DC Attracts Capacity Crowd to Learn About Factors Redefining PR; and Mid-Atlantic Marketing Summit Set for Baltimore on September 29
by Capitol Communicator | Jun 12, 2016
For the capacity crowd at Capitol Communicator’s PR Summit DC, Friday, June 10, it was a full day devoted to discussing the fundamental changes that will impact communicators in coming months and years.
One of the event’s highlights was an interactive luncheon presentation by Chris Graves, chairman of Ogilvy Public Relations, who discussed how specific words – and action by peers – can drive desired action and how a herd mentality alters how a person can respond to various situations.
Graves, shown above, was one of dozens of experts discussing and detailing the challenging issues communicators face – from fundamental changes in the traditional media, to the upheaval caused by social media, to convergence in communications, to native advertising, to lessons that can be learned from the pending presidential election.
Beyond the specifics of the session, the over-arching lesson is that on-going professional education is one way to stay abreast of the fundamental changes facing communicators.
Toward that end, Capitol Communicator is announcing Mid-Atlantic Marketing Summit Baltimore, Thursday, Sept. 29, at Pier V Hotel.
