A familiar face representing the Baltimore Ravens has departed for the Las Vegas Aces. President Nikki Fargas announced that the team has hired Deandra Duggans as vice president of brand marketing for the WNBA team.
“Deandra has a proven track record for brand innovation and leadership,” said Fargas. “We believe her impact will resonate not only within our organization, but with our fanbase and our community.” Duggans heads to the Aces after working in advertising and branding for the Baltimore Ravens for six years, including the last two as the department’s director. With the Ravens, she was responsible for brand strategy and planning, graphics and brand management, media planning & placement and integrated marketing planning.
Also in Baltimore sports news, Bruce Cunningham will sign off from Fox 45 on March 31, after a 45-year television career. In an email, Fox 45 vice president and general manager Billy Robbins noted that Cunningham is the station’s only remaining on-air talent from its original broadcast team, according to a Sun story by Childs Walker.
While he won’t be at Fox 45, fans will still hear his wisdom and familiar voice, and he reminded them of that in a recent tweet:
“Multiple people have reached out to me saying they’ll miss me on the radio. The fact is, I’ll be doing MORE radio. I’m just retiring from TV news.
Please pass the word.”
Cunningham will do radio shows for 105.7 The Fan
