Richmond Ad Club announces scholarship applications are open

The Advertising Club of Richmond announced that applications have opened for two scholarships: Women in Advertising and Excellence in Creative Education. Winners of both will be announced at this year’s Richmond Show.

Women in Advertising
The Women in Advertising scholarship is a $2,500 scholarship awarded annually to one undergraduate woman* who is working towards a career in advertising, either in creative, account management, or production. This scholarship is open to any woman* who has declared their major in the Virginia Commonwealth University Robertson School of Media and Culture Advertising Sequence (whether Strategic or Creative), will be a junior or senior for the Fall 2023 semester, and have a grade point average of at least 3.2. Applications due by April 5.

*Any woman-identifying or non-binary person is encouraged to apply.

Excellence in Creative Advertising
The Excellence In Creative Education Scholarship is a $1,500 scholarship that recognizes extraordinary creative talent and is awarded annually to an outstanding student at VCU’s Brandcenter. This scholarship aids that student’s development and supports the Brandcenter’s mission of excellence in advertising education. Each applicant must be a graduate student at the VCU Brandcenter and have a minimum GPA of 3.2.  Applications due by April 5.
