Richmond BizSense’s monthly update of what’s new in communications in Richmond includes the following:

Barber Martin Agency launched its first campaign under new chief creative officer Deb Hagan for Virginia Lottery. Using slow-motion, the spots take the action of playing the lottery’s eXTRA Chances game scratchers and turn them into an event. The campaign also involved point-of-sale, radio and digital ads. For television, Barber Martin assembled a local team that included Spang TV on production, Mad Box Post on editorial and Red Amp Studio on audio post.

Big River created three new TV spots for Lumber Liquidators. The spots will appear nationally. The agency is also working with the company’s internal teams to seed its brand message into marketing materials across the organization.

Shannon Martin, an account executive at ndp, has been elected president of the Mid-Atlantic Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development, where she will work to expand the network community of healthcare marketers from Virginia and Maryland to other states within the Mid-Atlantic.
