Bethesda-based RP3, earned four honors at the 2026 Online Marketing Media and Advertising (OMMA) Awards, including the program’s highest distinction, Best in Show, for its “Take a Hike” campaign developed for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC). The campaign was also recognized in three additional categories: Best Use of Video on Social Platforms, Activism/Public Service: Corporate Responsibility or Non Profit, and Health/Wellness: Campaign.

Presented by MediaPost, the OMMA Awards honor excellence in online marketing, media, advertising, and creative innovation. RP3’s award-winning “Take a Hike” campaign, states the agency, “combined humor, cultural relevance and a powerful social mission to raise awareness for public lands while emphasizing the connection between nature and mental well-being. The effort featured actor and comedian Kevin Nealon and encouraged audiences to reclaim the phrase “take a hike” as a positive call to action.

“The campaign generated significant results for ATC, including a 20% increase in email subscribers over three months and a 25% year-over-year increase in funding support.”

“The best work doesn’t force a choice between creativity and effectiveness. Take a Hike succeeded because it connected a meaningful cause with a simple, culturally relevant idea that people genuinely wanted to engage with and share,” said Tuesday Poliak, Chief Creative Officer at RP3. “To see that work recognized across four OMMA categories, culminating in Best in Show, is an incredible honor for our team and our partners at ATC.”

The multiple wins, states RP3, “reflect the campaign’s ability to excel across disciplines, from strategic storytelling and social content to advocacy and behavior change. The recognition also highlights RP3’s continued commitment to creating work that drives both cultural relevance and measurable results.

“The sweep reinforces RP3’s growing reputation for creating wildly original work that doesn’t just capture attention, but changes perceptions, sparks participation and delivers meaningful outcomes. From elevating awareness around conservation and mental health to driving measurable growth for ATC, “Take a Hike” demonstrates the power of purpose-led creativity when strategy, storytelling and execution come together at the highest level.”
