Sally Kidd, former national correspondent for Hearst Television in its D.C. bureau has joined Antenna, reports TVNewsCheck. Kidd was Washington Bureau Reporter for WBAL in Baltimore, which is owned by Hearst.
“When considering my next career chapter, I was looking for a position that would allow me to take all of the experience I cultivated as a journalist and use it in a new and different way, for the public good,” Kidd says. “I wanted to be able to advocate for an organization or champion a cause, rather than be a neutral observer reporting from the sidelines, as I was throughout my journalism career.”
Kidd says the agency is an integrated marketing and public relations firm that’s been around for over 20 years with offices in New York, Washington, Chicago, Detroit, San Francisco and Hackensack, N.J..
“Last September they opened a public affairs practice in D.C. I’m joining the public affairs practice, so I’ll be working in D.C.,” says Kidd.
