Simone De Alba will be joining WUSA as a news anchor in September. De Alba announced on Facebook that she is leaving News 4 San Antonio, WOAI, where she is 5, 6, 6:30 and 10 pm evening anchor, for WUSA9 in D.C.
“August 30th will be my last day on the air here in San Antonio,” De Alba posted. “I’ve accepted a job in Washington D.C. I’ll be joining the team at WUSA as an Anchor in September!”
According to a report, De Alba joined WOAI in December 2020 from FOX 40 KTXL Sacramento where she was a morning anchor.
Before KTXL, De Alba anchored for Q2 News KTVQ Billings, Montana and KRTV 3 Great Falls, Montana.
De Alba is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder and Metropolitan State University. She interned for KCNC Denver, KCRA Sacramento and KUSA Denver.
