DC Inno announced the winners of its third annual “50 on Fire” awards on Dec. 10 during a celebration at the Howard Theatre. The “50 on Fire” DC awards are held annually, according to DC Inno, to honor the year’s most groundbreaking individuals and organizations across industries in the Washington, DC, area.
“The DC Inno team is continuously impressed by the caliber of companies, products and initiatives coming out of the region each year. 50 on Fire nominees are having a tremendous impact on the city’s innovation economy,” said Streetwise Media President Leslie Garbarino. “We are proud to be a part of this community of disrupters and newsmakers in DC and beyond, and honored to recognize their hard work.”
In October, DC Inno announced the “50 on Fire” finalists culled from more than 1,000 nominations of the city’s top innovators. In a series of articles, DC Inno recognized and profiled the accomplishments of the 150 finalists across nine industries: Civic (Smart City); Design; Education; Government and Advocacy; Healthcare and Medicine; Investment; Lifestyle; Marketing and Advertising; and Technology.
The “50 on Fire” DC Marketing and Advertising winners were Brad Heidemann, Tahzoo; Karen Zuckerman, HZDG; LMO Advertising; SpeakerBox Communications; TrackMaven; and, XAPPmedia.
