Spurrier Group, a Capitol Communicator sponsor, is one of the top women-owned marketing agencies in the Mid-Atlantic region, and we are looking for a full-time Director of Consumer Engagement. This position will serve as the lead account manager on several client campaigns and work closely with other team members to ensure cross-channel integration via digital and traditional media platforms. Key to the success of these campaigns will be effective consumer relevancy and efficient achievement of client KPIs.
As one of our senior team members, the Director of Consumer Engagement will also serve as an industry thought leader and subject matter expert on digital media and consumer engagement. He or she may be called upon to participate in webinars or in panel discussions at industry conferences. He or she will also be a mentor to our agency staff. As we move forward from mass communication to personalized marketing to consumer engagement, it is essential for brands to embrace, understand and leverage all of the new technologies and resources available to them. This position will interface with our clients to help them do exactly that.
The Director of Consumer Engagement will also work closely with a range of individuals, both inside and outside the agency. Therefore, he or she must demonstrate strong leadership skills and effective project management skills. He or she must also be capable of exercising initiative, discretion and good judgement. Strong presentation skills, writing skills, professionalism and confidentiality are also crucial to this role.
Key Competencies
- Strategic understanding of traditional, digital and social-specific media planning and buying along with the proper metrics of success and measurement opportunities for each.
- Ability to take ownership of a client relationship and marketing strategy, ensuring recommendations are smart, grounded in research, relevant to the target audience and in line with client’s KPIs.
- Ability to foster strong relationships and collaborate with cross-discipline teams that include media, project management, creative, research and analytics – from initial brief and brainstorm to campaign execution and measurement. Displays engaging interpersonal skills.
- Maintains workflow under pressure and in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
Education and/or Experience
A Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience working within the social, digital, media and agency space. Compensation commensurate with experience. Complete benefits package also available.
