Steven Portnoy is rejoining ABC News Radio, this time as a national correspondent based in Washington, D.C., reports TV Newser. This is Portnoy’s second stint at ABC News. He spent nine years at the news organization as a correspondent before jumping to CBS News. He then spent eight-and-a-half years at CBS News Radio, most recently serving as the organization’s White House correspondent. CBS News announced Portnoy’s exit this past week.
According to Wikipedia, Portnoy served as president of the White House Correspondents’ Association from 2021-2022. He reported from Capitol Hill before the election of President Trump. From 2006 to 2015, he was a D.C.-based correspondent for ABC News Radio, where he covered legal affairs and breaking stories in addition to regularly reporting on Congress and the White House. He then joined CBS News. While at ABC, he was also a regular host of Ahead of the Curve, a technology-based talk show on ABC News Now, the network’s 24/7 digital TV platform. Prior to joining ABC News in 2006, Portnoy reported for WMAL, a D.C., radio station that was owned by ABC until 2007.
