The Washington Post launched its first ad buy in New York City’s Times Square, part of a national campaign to promote its new personal health and wellness section, Well+Being. The week-long, five-screen takeover in Times Square meets consumers amid their busy days, offering a gentle reminder to pause and consider their wellbeing, states The Post.

The campaign’s tagline, continues The Post, “Subtract the noise, add the experts” puts the emphasis on “trust, leaning into Well+Being’s array of experts, both journalists and practicing health professionals, and the section’s mission to deliver actionable, reader-centered and science-based journalism that elevates diverse voices and celebrates all levels of ambition and ability.

““Times Square is arguably the most hectic pedestrian intersection in the country. It’s a perfect place to interrupt the chaos a day can bring and create space to pause and consider your own wellbeing,” said Perrin Lawrence, head of brand and consumer marketing at The Post. “This campaign leans into The Post’s mission to empower people and, with Well+Being, provide clarity amid a noisy landscape of ‘wellness’ recommendations so our audience can make decisions about living well every day.”

“The creative features a colorful, dynamic display of thought bubbles of questions people have about their wellbeing which disperse to the edges of the ad to reveal the tagline set against a serene blue sky.”

The multi-pronged campaign will also run in transit shelters in San Francisco and Washington, D.C., through November 11 and across Post owned and operated platforms.
