If you want to win a regional Emmy® Award, here’s your chance.
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences – National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter Emmy® Awards cover work produced in 2020 and shown in Maryland, Virginia and D.C. You can find details here. It includes deadlines, guidelines about how to enter, how to determine what work qualifies for regional consideration and detailed descriptions of the categories – including Political and Commercial Production, and Craft categories.
The Early Bird deadline is January 7th.
The goal of the awards is to recognize outstanding achievements in television and allied media by conferring annual awards of merit in the Chapter’s designated award region which, in this case, includes D.C., Maryland and Virginia. The presentation of these awards is intended to be an incentive for the continued pursuit of excellence for those working in the television and digital media industry and to focus public attention on outstanding cultural, educational, technological, entertainment, news, informational programming and craft achievements in television and online.
If you have work produced in the DMV, but shown in another market, the work may qualify for entry in a different regional NATAS chapter. Entry deadlines are different in each region, so check each Chapter’s site for details. You can find a list of them here.
