VOX Global, a FleishmanHillard specialty brand, promoted Carey Tarbell to general manager, and Mike Marker to managing director. Tarbell’s new responsibilities will include overall management and growth of the firm, which is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and has offices in Boston; Dallas; Indianapolis, Ind.; Nashville, Tenn.; New York; Portland, Maine; Raleigh, N.C.; Sacramento, Calif.; and Tokyo. Tarbell joined VOX Global in 2007 after serving as executive director of the National Journal’s Policy Council, owned by Atlantic Media, and more than 13 years at Powell Tate|Weber Shandwick. She began her career in the Public Law Policy division of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld. Marker’s new role will include oversight of the firm’s field offices, directing the strategy, business development and culture.
D.C.-based Subject Matter announced five additions to its staff roster: Tim Doyle, account director, who comes from Discovery Communications and Glover Park Group; Minni Gupta, director of social strategy, who was an account Supervisor at FleishmanHillard; Mike Nelson, account director, comes from Padilla; Wayne Johnson, associate creative director for interactive, comes from TMP Government; and Brendan Kiviat, media specialist, who joined from SKDKnickerbocker.
Borenstein Group, digital branding agency, announced it has donated 10,000 nutritious meals to children in Houston through The Outreach Program, a national charity that helps combat food insecurity by facilitating delivery of pre-packaged resilient food to communities in need in the U.S and abroad. The meals are expected to arrive during the week of September 10th, to a local Food Bank.
