7News/WJLA-TV in D.C. announced that it added veteran D.C. area news anchor Adam Longo to its morning news team.
Longo is no stranger to the D.C. market. The multi-award-winning journalist spent the previous nine years as an anchor and reporter at D.C.’s CBS affiliate station, WUSA9. This is also a homecoming for Longo. His first television job was with WJLA sister station, NewsChannel 8 in 1999 as a news writer and production assistant.
Longo has also worked full-time as a news reporter and anchor since 2001 at TV stations in Charlottesville, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Orlando, Phoenix, and in the DMV.
Longo will co-anchor the 7News morning show alongside Adrianna Hopkins, 7News First Alert Meteorologist Eileen Whelan, Traffic Reporter Britt Waters and Alert Desk anchor Lindsey Mastis, on weekday mornings from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m.
