Henry Blodget, Insider Inc.’s cofounder, CEO, and editorial director, and Sir Martin Sorrell, pictured above, executive chairman of S4 Capital and founder of WPP, the world’s largest advertising and PR group, participated in a virtual Town Hall on April 15.
According to Business Insider: “The coronavirus pandemic has upended global economies, as unemployment claims rise and payrolls shrink. Even so, experts are cautiously optimistic about an economic rebound later this year.”
During the online event, Sorrell focused on the shift to digital, noting that it will major changes coming out of COVID-19, including new norms, such as working from home, a continuing shift to online events and a major movement to digital.
The virtual Town Hall also covered the state of the media and advertising industry and the outlook for economic recovery from the coronavirus crisis over the next few quarters.
