The Washington Post adds Alex MacCallum as Chief Revenue Officer. According to WaPo, this executive role “drives The Post’s revenue across advertising, partnerships and subscriptions. MacCallum comes to The Post with more than 20 years’ experience launching and growing new platforms and building sustainable business models within CNN Worldwide, The New York Times and The Huffington Post.”“We are thrilled to welcome Alex MacCallum as Chief Revenue Officer at The Washington Post. According to The Post: “As Global Head of Product for CNN Worldwide and General Manager of CNN+, MacCallum oversaw product, data, design, marketing and business operations and led the launch of a new streaming platform, CNN+, in less than one year. At The New York Times, she led the development of the Cooking and Games products, which saw explosive growth across engagement, subscriptions and revenue and was the youngest person ever appointed to the senior masthead in the newsroom. In roles at both The Times and at CNN, MacCallum partnered deeply with the advertising teams to drive revenue across core products, standalone products and video.”
