WaPo adds James Edward Murray as Head of Business Development

The Washington Post announced the addition of James Edward Murray as Director and Head of Business Development, a newly created role designed to drive growth across the company through initiatives and innovative partnerships.
Murray, states The Post, was most recently the founder and CEO of Therify, a B2B mental health startup backed by Y Combinator, Looking Glass Capital, and Jumpstart Nova. Under his leadership, Therify grew from an idea into a global platform with a premium network of more than 3,000 mental health providers across 30 U.S. states, Canada, and the Philippines. The company has been featured in Inc. Magazine, Fortune, and TechCrunch for its work to expand access to mental health care, and Murray was named to Black Health Connect’s 40 Under 40 for his entrepreneurial innovation and leadership.
Murray will be a part of The Post’s Growth organization, reporting to Head of Partnerships Peter Elkins-Williams.
