WaPo adds Keely Diven as Social Media Director

Keely Diven has joined The Washington Post as Social Media Director, overseeing the development and execution of The Post’s social media strategy. Diven, states The Post, will work across the organization “to support our mission of reaching untapped audiences and ensuring The Post’s social accounts are the destination for discovering and engaging in the most important stories of the day.”

Diven joins The Post from ESPN, where she spent five years leading social media strategy in a variety of roles. Her work included developing ESPN’s strategy for sharing its digital storytelling and directing DEI initiatives as a member of the Inclusive Content Committee. Previously, she worked as a producer designing strategy for the network’s D.C.-based shows and personalities, including “Pardon The Interruption,” “Around The Horn” and Michael Wilbon.

Prior to ESPN, she led digital and social media coverage of the Wizards at NBC Sports Washington.
