The Washington Post reports that it has signed with Storied Media Group “to help guide its emerging video strategy and to rep the institution in the packaging and selling of its treasure trove of IP for feature films, television and digital. As is its model, SMG will mine The Post’s archives as well as curate its daily stories and market them to studios, networks, and producers.”
At a time of dramatic consolidation in the news media industry, The Post states that it “stands out as one of the few media institutions that is actually expanding its ranks, making huge investments in video and longform journalism.”
