The Washington Post video team has launched a new video series that, states The Post, “lifts the curtain on the reporting process to help inform viewers about what reporters do. “How to be a Journalist” will be hosted by Post on-air reporter Libby Casey and videos will be published both on the Washington Post website as well as on its social platforms.
““There’s been a surge in interest in journalism, and we want to give our audience a look at what real reporting entails,” said Casey. “People want to know how a hunch turns into a front page article. We want to be transparent and show how we go about reporting.”
“The first video in the series features Post Investigative reporter Beth Reinhard and National Enterprise Reporter Stephanie McCrummen who first reported on women who made allegations against Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore. They discuss carefully vetting information, meeting sources in person and getting on the record interviews.”
